In our modern world, picturesque natural environments are being threatened by industrialization, amongst a host of other factors, the African continent remains one of the few continents that may offer natural beauty, wildlife, open spaces, spectacular natural habitats, glorious sunsets - the unbreakable bond between flora and fauna in it's native setting - as well as culturally conscious, friendly people with their age-old customs displayed proudly.
From time immemorial, the East African region has provided its wildlife with refuge and in the past century has drawn visitors from around the world, thus the origin of the Safari - a Swahili term that perfectly captures the pleasures of travel. In actuality, Safari means travel in Swahili, the most widely spoken language in East Africa. It is a true nature-lovers paradise with no less than forty wildlife sanctuaries where rich natural heritage is protected for posterity.
